This is the Day

Another supposedly "endtime prophetic event" has come and gone and like the previous ones, it was, well ... uneventful. Undoubtedly, there will be other doomsday predictions again. What are we sons of God waiting for...some cataclysmic event...another sort of revival before we turn this world right side up? Our Lord Jesus declared: "It is finished!" and the veil of separation was torn. A new and living way to His Presence is paved. In Him we are seated in the heavenly places and we are heirs of unspeakable glory. Not only do we have the keys of the kingdom in our hands but His Majesty Himself the King lives in us. No wonder Jesus said that the Kingdom is within us. What are we waiting for ... heaven? Isn't it that we are the temple of God and that the Holy Spirit has taken residence in our bodies? If the Spirit of the Lord is now upon us as He was in Jesus Christ (the anointed One), aren't we also anointed to preach the Good News to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to set the captives free, to open prison doors and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord?! What are we waiting for when the whole creation is eagerly waiting to be delivered from the curse as soon as the sons of God manifest. Creation is waiting for us (Romans 8:19-22)! Aren't the earthquakes, tsunami, hurricanes and other earthly birth pangs not loud enough for us to hear? We better stop procrastinating and allowing ourselves to be lulled into sleep dreaming of the "pie in the sky in the sweet by and by". Why waste time arguing who the Antichrist is while trembling in fear spooked by technological advances when on the day we experienced the Amazing Grace - we became one with the Alpha and the Omega. The resurrected Christ, the Hope of Glory, is living in us and is longing to be revealed and be manifested in and through our earthen vessels! It's high time to wake up from our religious stupor drunk by doctrines of men passively waiting for some dramatic radical event in the future to happen. How many more revivals do we need? What can be more dramatic than Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection? What can be more radical than being partakers of the divine nature through the Spirit of God?! ARISE SONS OF GOD! This is the DAY!

Heb 13:5 For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

(also Matt.28:20)

God has promised never to leave us. His presence is always with us (Psalm 139:1-2; Isaiah 43:2; Deut.20:1). The question, however, is not whether God is in our presence, but whether we are walking in Hispresence.

Ps 89:15 Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your countenance.

The Heart of Moses

Moses’ heart was after more than just the power of God. He desired to know the ways of God (Exodus 33:13; Psalm 103:7). He didn’t want to have just an angel – a representative of God – to go before the people of Israel, even though this would have fulfilled all the promises God had given Israel concerning the promised land. Moses wanted God’s own Presence to go with them, because he knew it was the Presence of God that would distinguish them from all the other peoples of the earth. As Christians, this is also what distinguishes us from the rest of the world. We are different – not because of something we believe in, but because we walk in the Presence of God.A Friend of God

Ex 33:11 - So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle.

Because Moses walked in the presence of God, he had a face-to-facerelationship with the Lord. God spoke to him just like you would speak with your closest friend. Many of us have to know God as ourfriend (we can pour out our hearts to God at any time), but does God know us as Hisfriend (where He can share Hisheart with us)?

The Heart of David

Ps 27:4 One thing I have desired of the Lord , That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord , And to inquire in His temple. (also 23:6; 26:8)

David was called a man after God’s own heart (1 Samuel 13:14; Acts 13:22). God, who does not look on the outward appearance but upon the heart (1 Samuel 16:6-12), is still searching out heart-people– people who, like David, have one driving desire – to be in the presence of the Lord.

Ps 84:1-2 How lovely is Your tabernacle, O Lord of hosts! My soul longs, yes, even faints For the courts of the Lord ; My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

The Secret Place

Ps 27:5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.

There is a secret place in the presence of God where we can hide in the time of trouble. As you walk in the presence of God, you can find yourself “hidden” from the world (Col.3:1-4). In this “hiding place” you will discover rest (Ex.33:14-15; Ps.91:1-16), peace (2 Thess.3:16) and joy (Ps.16:11;21:6).

Secrets of the Heart

Ps 42:2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?* 7 - Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls; All Your waves and billows have gone over me.

True friendship means sharing the deep things of the heart (Prov.18:24; 20:5). As we walk in the presence of God, the Bible describes two “searchings” of the heart that take place simultaneously:God searches our heart

Rom 8:27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

The Holy Spirit searches our heart, sifting through our desires and priorities drawing from us a heart after Himself.

We search the heart of God

1 Cor 2:10-11 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

Through the Holy Spirit, we have a link to the heart of God. And through the Spirit, we search the “deep things of God”. God desires to disclose the depths of His heart, but He will only do this with heart-people – those who come close to Him (1 Cor.4:1). And it is in the depths of God’s own heart (Phil.3:10). As we search out God’s heart, we will touch three things:

° Wisdom God’s ways (Romans 11:33)

° Purpose God’s plans (Ephesians 3:8-11)

° Desires God’s love (Ephesians 3:16-19)

A Dwelling Place

Eph 2:22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

God has always desired to have us live in His presence without it destroying us (Ex.33:3,20). In times past, God did this by commanding His people to build special structures that would contain His presence. These included the tabernacles of Moses and David, and the temple of Solomon. But God’s desire has always been to indwell people’s lives (Acts 7:48-50 Rev.21:3). As Christians, we have become temples of God’s Spirit. Our lives are now the container of His presence.

2 Cor 6:16 For you* are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will dwell in them and walk among them.

I will be their God, And they shall be My people."*

Get Ready to Laugh

Sept.10,2010 Reggie Ocampo

Many have declared Europe to be “Post-Christian”. How can anyone refute such terms when church buildings are being closed down and sold to the highest bidder because of a shrinking and/or aging congregation that could no longer maintain such edifices?

Stories of past revivals that have hit the continent seem to be morphing into fairy tales or fantasies because of the wide gap of the past godly heritage to the present atheistic, humanistic, and Antichrist culture that is so prevalent.

Even in USA, the “spiritual airport” and launching pad of missionaries has been on a steady trend of backsliding.

With the inroad of many cults, sects, and false religion coupled with the steady decline of church attendance in traditional Christian nations, it is easy to fall into discouragement and even cynicism.

I for one have been laboring in a Bavarian city for more than 10 years and still am longing to see a significant breakthrough both in quality and in quantity.

Has the Church come to the point of being past the child bearing stage?

Gen 17:17
Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, "Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?"
Abraham was ninety-nine years old when the Lord entered into a covenant with him. At an old age, he shed flesh, spilled blood in circumcision, and walked before the Almighty (Genesis 17). I believe it is not too late for us to renew our covenant bonds with the Almighty and decide not to walk according to the flesh, but to walk by faith in the spirit.

Gen 18:11-14
Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing.* 12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, "After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?"
13 And the LORD said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh, saying, 'Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?' 14 Is anything too hard for the LORD ? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."
Like Sarah of old, sometimes we couldn’t help but be cynical when we hear of grand prophesies as opposed to the “facts on the ground”.

Gen 21:5-7
Now Abraham was one hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him. 6 And Sarah said, "God has made me laugh, and all who hear will laugh with me." 7 She also said, "Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? For I have borne him a son in his old age."
After one year when he was 100 years old and his wife was ninety, they bore a son. Even though in the natural, as per footnote “the manner of women had ceased to be with Sarah”, she conceived and bore a son.

Time is swallowed up in Eternity.

At such a glorious event, she laughed (21:6).

Church, get ready to laugh !!!

Dear ministers of the Lord who have been laboring for many years now and have been frustrated over and over again due to a stagnant or shrinking congregation, get ready to laugh!

Dear laborers in the vineyard who have been contemplating whether you are winning the world or maintaining a seniors citizens social gathering, get ready to laugh !

Dear prophets who have been prophesying over and over again and all that seems to happen is the exact opposite, get ready to laugh!

Dear faithful Christian businessmen, who have been investing in the kingdom of God and have only experienced loss, get ready to laugh!

Dear prayer warriors, who have been weeping between the altar and the porch for a prolonged season and have experienced loneliness, get ready to laugh!

Dear godly parents who have done everything you knew how to raise your children and yet have seen them go astray right before your eyes, get ready to laugh!

Dear saints of God, who have almost forgotten the time you shouted and screamed a loud “Amen!” with the congregation because it has been in the distant past, get ready to laugh!

Listen oh Bride of Christ, your laughter of cynicism will be turned into real laughter of joy and gladness for … is there anything too hard for the Lord? (Gen.18:14).

Many have written us off. They think we have gone past the age of child bearing. They say the Church is no longer relevant. They say the Bible is not for today. They say the Church is dead. But God says “At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.” (Genesis 18:14)

Let us shed off our flesh, pay the price, walk in covenant with our God, and declare the new name the Lord gives us.

Let all the naysayers and prophets of doom say all they want about the Church till they are blue but I for one am hearing another Voice saying “Get ready to laugh!”

It is the TIME of LIFE !

 "Release Me"

„Release Me“ , these two simple yet powerful words is what I heard in my spirit as I communed with the Lord the other day.

Although Jesus ascended on high, Christ never left planet earth. An Old Testament shadow of it was that of Elijah being taken up to heaven but leaving his mantle behind to Elisha. In the same manner, Jesus commissioned/sent the disciples as He Himself was commissioned / sent by the Father (John 20:21). The Lord commanded the disciples to wait upon the Promise of the Father, who was the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:4). As Elisha moved with a double portion of the anointing of Elijah, so is the Church to do the same works that Jesus did, and even greater works (John 14:12).

The mystery revealed is “Christ in you the hope of glory” (Col.1:27). In Him we live, move, and have our being. He is in us. The same Holy Spirit that moved in the body of Jesus performing signs, wonders, and miracles is the exact same Holy Spirit that is in the Body of Christ in the 21st century. We do not have a “junior Holy Spirit” nor a copy of Him. The same Spirit that raised Jesus is quickening our mortal bodies (Romans 8:11). The same Holy Spirit that descended and settled on Jesus in the river Jordan is the exact one who is indwelling us, not a look alike.

The Divine life within us wants to break free!

The shell must give way for the life of the seed to manifest, grow, blossom, and bear fruit (John 12:24).

In the time of Noah, it was not only water from above that caused an inescapable flood to cover the earth. It is recorded in Genesis 7:11 that all the fountains of deep were broken. Thus, water did not only come from above but it also came from within. Didn’t Jesus tells us that if we believe in Him, rivers of living water shall flow from our innermost being (John 7:38-39)? I see every believer today as a “fountain of the deep” walking planet earth. If only “deep calls unto deep”, then there will be a mighty deluge of glory and knowledge of God that is inescapable. The rain that falls from heaven is a sovereign act of God. However, the release of the living water within the earth comes from those who have treasures in earthen vessels. Let the living waters (take note the plural form) flow out of our devoted /broken/ surrendered lives as it did in the vision of Ezekiel. Let the water flow from the throne to the temple and into the streets. There is indeed a river whose streams make glad the city of God. Let the corporate anointing flow together in harmony creating a mighty river that cannot be crossed.

May each one of us be so stirred up that the divine nature we have partaken be so activated that it will be manifest in our days. Let the word become flesh and dwell among men. When that happens, I have no doubt that the godly seed will surely emerge. One generation shall praise Him to the next.

Inspite of the discouraging developments and backslidings of the modern day (western) Church, let us have faith and confidence in what the Lord said, “destroy this temple and on the third day I will raise it back”. Since a day with the Lord is a thousand years and a thousand years to Him is a day, let us take courage that we are on the threshold of something very dramatic. We will see resurrection life manifest in the Body of Christ. Indeed it is not by might nor by power, but it is by the Spirit of God. It is not going to be denominational nor religious life that will manifest rather it will be the glorified resurrected life of Christ within His body. I still have hope for the Church to arise and shine in the western world. HE said that He will raise back on the third day.

The scars in the body of Christ cannot be hidden. As a matter of fact, it is imperative that the body bear such marks. It is the evidence that it is the real genuine body of Christ and not any flaky religious group. Those who have known Christ in the fellowship of His sufferings will also know Him in the power of His resurrection. They bear in their bodies the seal that they are the true sons of God, thus the genuine Body of Christ.

Listen Church! HE wants to be released!

The shell of the seed must be broken for the life within to manifest.
The fountains of the deep must be broken to join the rain waters so as to cover the earth with the knowledge of the Lord.
The temple must be destroyed for it to be raised up.
The pain of a blinding light from a chariot of fire and splinters into one’s eyes due to the whirlwind must be endured for Elisha to receive the mantle of Elijah.

Those who have endured the blinding light of revelation that is not lawful for man to utter and the eye piercing splinter of persecution … let the shout from deep within you ascend to His ears “My father, My Father…!”

Rejoice!
The mantle has fallen on us…
The clouds are heavy and are bursting…
The fountains are rumbling into a mighty crescendo…
The spiritual germination process is unstoppable …
The season is changing….
The womb of the Day is breaking forth …
The third day is at hand …

This is the DAY that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!

Welcome to the DAY of the LORD !
